The Centre for Mathematical Sciences at Lund University, Sweden, invites applications for a permanent position as Senior University Lecturer in Mathematics with specialisation in Algebra. The position mainly entails research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (especially related to algebra). Supervision of Bachelor, Master and PhD theses is included in the teaching tasks. Initially the amount of teaching will be at most 50 % of full time. Administration tasks may be included. The work assignments of the position, as well as the relative proportions of research and teaching, may change over time. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the research activity in algebra, which also includes applying for external funding and developing collaborations with other departments within the University and with other universities. The successful candidate is expected to build up their own research group.
