Department of Mathematics, University of Innsbruck

In this position you are expected to write a dissertation in a stimulating environment using the University’s infrastructure. You will hold your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration. 50% of the working time is reserved for the thesis.

Main Tasks:

Research in the area of numerical analysis – differental equations
Teaching
Student supervision
Scientific publications
Education and Training
Administrative Tasks

Qualification Requirements:

MSc or Diploma in Mathematics
Knowledge in numerical analysis – differential equations
English skills
Problem-solving competence
Independing work and high motivation
Experience with students
Team skills
Willingness to communicate with colleagues
Please include a dissertation expose with your application documents (max 5 pages)

Initially 20 hours per week. Once a written agreement on the dissertation has been reached, employment will be raised to 30 hours a week.
