Assistant Professorship (W1) for Algebra and Geometry (without tenure track)
The Mathematical Institute at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf invites applications for an
Assistant Professorship (W1) for Algebra and Geometry (without tenure track)
Candidates should be internationally recognized researchers in a domain at the interface between algebra and geometry (e.g. in an area of algebraic geometry, arithmetic geometry, algebraic topology, geometric group theory or representation theory) and should complement the directions present at the institute.
It is expected that the candidate will actively participate in the existing GRK 2240 “Algebro-Geometric Methods in Algebra, Arithmetic and Topology” and in future third-party funding initiatives, that he/she has publications in internationally recognized journals and that he/she is strongly committed to academic teaching.
The closing date for applications is 07.10.2020.
