The Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Natural Sciences II, Institute for Mathematics, is offering a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow (m-f -d) in full time, limited for 3 years.
The position is offered within the DFG funded research unit FOR 2402. The salary will be in accordance with salary class 13 TV-L, pending classification based on individual capacities and qualifications.

Work Tasks:

•Active cooperation in project P3 „Numerical analysis of rough PDEs“ of the DFG funded research unit FOR 2402. For further information on the research unit seehttps://sites.google.com/site/researchunitfor2402/home

•Support of research activities related to (numerical) analysis of stochastic evolution equations and rough PDEs.

•To conduct courses for Bachelor and Master level students, in particular exercise classes on topics in numerical analysis and probability.

Requirements:

•Successfully completed university degree (Master or equivalent) in mathematics.•Successfully completed PhD degree in mathematics.

•Strong background in numerical and stochastic analysis of stochastic evolution equations.

•Knowledge of “rough path theory” is desirable.

•Experience in teaching and organizing university level courses in mathematics.

•Good programming skills (ideal Python).

•Very good command of the German and/or English language.
