Postdoctoral Fellowship
A postdoctoral fellowship in mathematics and network science is open for application at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics in Budapest, Hungary.
The position is starting in September 2021 or after. It is for one or two years, with a possibility for extension. Topics include large networks, graph convergence, network science, stochastic processes on graphs and statistical physics methods in discrete mathematics.
The project is financed by the European Union, through the ERC Synergy Grant ’Dynamics and Structure of Networks’ led by László Lovász (Rényi Institute), Albert-László Barabási (CEU) and Jaroslav Nesetril (Charles University).

Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the project, we welcome candidates open to collaborating outside their strict expertise.
This is a no teaching position, in particular, candidates are not required to speak Hungarian. The salary is up to negotiation but is competitive with European postdoctoral salaries. Shortlisted candidates are invited to visit the group in Budapest.
