We are seeking to recruit up to two postdoctoral Research Associates in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics to work on topics in high energy, gravitational or condensed matter physics.

Duties will primarily involve conducting individual and collaborative research in theoretical physics. The role holder will be expected to plan and manage their own research and administration, with guidance if required. You must be able to communicate material of a technical nature and be able to build internal and external contacts. You may be asked to assist in the supervision of student projects.

The ideal candidate will be a versatile theorist and will have expertise or interests in topics such as many-body aspects of quantum gravity, matrix quantum mechanics, strongly quantum many-body dynamics or unconventional transport in condensed matter systems. However, candidates from any technical background with broad interests are encouraged to apply.
The candidate should have a PhD in theoretical physics (or related) before the start of the position.

Further information, including instructions on how to apply, can be found at: https://www.jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/32227/
