We are searching for a Senior Lecturer to join the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Division of Algebra and Geometry. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a high-level research program with emphasis on algebra and geometry and participate in the undergraduate and graduate level teaching in mathematics at our department.

We expect the successful candidate to strengthen and complement the research conducted at the Division of Algebra and Geometry, for instance in Algebraic geometry, Complex geometry and Number theory.

We are committed teachers with extensive and broad experience in all aspects of undergraduate and graduate education in mathematics. We are appreciated by students and are continuously seeking opportunities for pedagogical improvement. Our ambition is to teach mathematics at the highest international level.

The assignments comprise:

conducting research in mathematics,
teaching courses in mathematics on basic as well as advanced level,
supervision of students (at undergraduate, MSc and PhD levels),
administrative tasks for the Department of Mathematical Sciences,
actively applying for external funding.
