RWTH Aachen University (Germany) is seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research in the area of mathematics of machine learning. The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date. The research focus shall be on the mathematical-theoretical investigation of machine learning methods, and thereby contribute to the development of novel, more efficient schemes. The profile of the successful applicant shall complement existing strengths within the department and drive new interdisciplinary cooperations.

This is a junior professorship appointment with a tenure track career path towards a permanent W2 professorship.
