The Department is looking for a leader for its activities in computational mathematics and numerical analysis. We would also expect the successful candidate to take on an active role in the leadership team of our MAC-MIGS Centre for Doctoral Training and contribute to defining its future strategy. We have an established group with expertise in numerical analysis and computational mathematics – with two new early career appointments currently under way – as well as a new and vibrant group on computational statistics. The post holder will have a unique opportunity to support a sizeable group of talented early career colleagues and define the future research directions.
