University Assistant – Postdoc
Job profile:
University Assistant – Postdoc (40 hours/week), Department of Mathematics/University of Innsbruck, from 02.01.2023 to 01.01.2026. Main duties: Independent research in the field of numerics of partial differential equations (preferably geometric integrators, dispersive problems); independent teaching of courses and holding of exams; supervision of students incl. supervision of bachelor theses; participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures; continuing education. Required qualifications: completed doctoral or PhD studies in mathematics, research experience in the field of numerics of partial differential equations; very good English skills; project management skills; creative problem solving ability; independent work and high motivation; experience in dealing with students; ability to work in a team; willingness to communicate with colleagues.
