2 PhD positions in numerical analysis, Bonn, Germany
The Institute of Numerical Simulation is looking for 2 research assistants (each 75%) in the field of numerical analysis for a period of three years as soon as possible. The research group of Prof. Dr. Barbara Verfürth is interested in the design, numerical analysis and implementation of numerical methods for multiscale problems. The envisioned research aims at the development and analysis of numerical methods for nonlinear, random, and dynamical multiscale problems.
Candidates should have a Master’s degree in mathematics (or closely related field) with a strong background in the theory of numerical methods for partial differential equations and numerical analysis. Some programming knowledge is highly beneficial.
Bonn Mathematics and the Institute of Numerical Simulation offer a stimulating research environment.
