We are looking for a person with in-depth knowledge in the fields of applied mathematics, computer science and IT security as well as practical experience in at least two of the areas mentioned. We are looking for someone who can convey the skills acquired in professional practice to our students and represents these areas in research and teaching in an application-oriented manner.
Within the framework of this professorship, courses in basic subjects for students in courses in this and other departments are also to be held. Some of the lectures are to be held in English. Willingness to teach online is also expected.
You play an active role in the further development of courses, applied research and academic self-government and are involved in raising third-party funds. Participation in the structures of science and technology transfer is desirable and is (sustainably) supported by the university. The university goals also include commitment in the areas of internationalization, digitization and science communication as well as equality and diversity.
We offer flexibility in teaching commitments through teaching load accounts. Your teaching commitments can be reduced by arrangement for tasks in research and transfer as well as university didactic training. We support you in the further development of your professional and didactic skills individually through internal or external consultations or further training.

General Recruitment Requirements
In addition to the general civil service requirements, the requirements for employment are at least a university degree, proven scientific qualifications in the advertised subject area and pedagogical and didactic suitability. The special qualification for scientific work is usually proven by the quality of a doctorate or extraordinary achievements. A further requirement is special performance in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in at least five years of professional practice, of which at least three years must have been spent outside of the university sector.
