Research assistant outreach
The position is intended for mathematicians who conduct research in one of the working areas of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics and are actively involved in outreach aspects. Your tasks will include advancing your own research as well as establishing and developing outreach. We expect a high level of commitment and initiative in order to further increase the international visibility of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics and its guest program through various measures, such as science communication and student activities, and thus attract the best mathematicians to the MPIM.
The position is initially limited to two years, with a view to permanent employment. A degree in mathematics (with doctorate), communication skills, creativity and a very good command of English are required. German language skills are expected in the long term.
We offer a very modern equipped workplace in the city of Bonn and an attractive environment with a very good working atmosphere. Remuneration is based  on qualifications and professional experience, including all social benefits (e.g. company pension scheme, special bonus (Christmas bonus), etc.) in accordance with the regulations of the public service (TVöD Bund) up to pay group 14.
