PhD Position (f/m/d) in “Building Healthcare Resilience Against Cyber-Attacks”

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology offers a fully funded research assistant (PhD) position in the Helmholtz project “Building Healthcare Resilience Against Cyber-Attacks” at the earliest possible date.

Your main tasks and responsibilities within this project are:

Conduct academic research which will lead to high quality scientific publications in the field of operations research and the possibility of pursuing a Ph.D.
Contribute to projects with academic and industrial partners, e.g. KASTEL, Imperial College London, hospitals in Germany etc.
Assist in teaching activities of the department

Personal qualification

We welcome Master degrees with a quantitative focus, e.g., operations research, business or data analytics, mathematics, etc.
Expertise in linear or non-linear or mixed integer programming
Affinity to data
Strong analytical skills
Experience with databases desirable
Ability to collaborate with others and work independently, take initiative and show enthusiasm
Good oral and written communication skills in English, German not require
