Professor (f/m/d)
for Bioinformatics with focus on AI in the Life Sciences
(Base Salary: W 2)
Part-time employment is possible.
Your tasks
– Representation of teaching (in German and English) in the subject areas bioinformatics and artificial intelligence and the study programmes biomathematics, applied mathematics, artificial intelligence and software engineering.
– Establishment of a research profile as well as national and international research activities incl. publications
Networking with regional stakeholders (companies, associations, etc.)
– Participation in academic self-administration
Your profile:
– Professional expertise in the teaching area bioinformatics and artificial intelligence including its methodical foundations
– Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally leadership experience
-Enthusiasm for working with young people and their development
– Openness for the further development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
– Openness to taking on new teaching content within the framework of the long-term, strategic and, if necessary, interdisciplinary further development of the range of courses offered
– High social competence in dealing with students, colleagues and employees
– Good German and English skills (minimum C1-level)
The hiring requirements for professorships result from § 49 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
