Applications must be submitted by April 30, 2024, only using the “Application Form”
https://konkurs.impan.pl/konkurs-profesor/. The application should contain a CV, a
research statement addressing long-term perspectives at IM PAN, a list of
publications and a proposal of the branch and people whom the candidate would like
to collaborate with.

By the same date two letters of recommendation should be sent by email to
konkurs@impan.pl (in the subject of the e-mail, indicate please “Competition for
professor positions” and the full name of the candidate).

The offer is addressed to people who have habilitation or the title of professor or
have scientific achievements sufficient to obtain habilitation.
We encourage to apply all qualified candidates, regardless of sex, racial or ethnic
origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation.

The successful candidates will be required to conduct intensive research activities
in the field of mathematics or its applications. They are expected to establish their
own research teams at the Institute of Mathematics (through seminars and care for
novice mathematicians) or significantly contribute to the existing teams. The Institute
also expects participation in national and international research programs and grants.
The achievements of persons employed under this competition will be subject to
periodic evaluation.

The candidates will be notified of the result by a letter. The condition for taking up
employment is the candidate’s consent to include them in the number of people
appearing in the application for a statutory subsidy.
