A PhD position is available under supervision of JProf. Dr. Diyora Salimova at the Department for Applied Mathematics at Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg and to be filled as soon as possible.
The PhD project aims to provide theoretical analysis of machine learning tools and techniques and is limited initially to 3 years.
The salary is according to German standard for doctoral students TV-L E13 50%, initially.
Prospective candidates are expected to have a strong mathematical background, Master’s degree or equivalent, and be interested in the theory of machine learning.
Proficiency in English is also required.
