Conference on Developments in Modern Mathematics in Göttingen

We are pleased to announce that the second edition of the conference “Developments in Modern Mathematics” will be held at the Mathematical Institute in Göttingen from 2 to 5 September 2024.

 

Leading experts in some of the main research areas of our department will come together for four intensive days of research talks. Mathematical Physics, Operator Theory, Number Theory, Higher Structures, Topology and Geometry will be represented by plenary speakers and thematic speakers in parallel sessions.

Recent developments in mathematics include increasing attention to gender dynamics in academia. Introductory plenary talks, a panel discussion and expert presentations will address this topic.

Call for Contributions: 

Participants are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts for talks or posters. Selected contributed talks will be featured in parallel sessions, providing an excellent platform to present in front of field experts.

Support and Deadlines:

  • Registration Deadline: August 11, 2024
  • The conference is supported by an external grant from the “Equality Innovation Fund” of the University of Göttingen, offering financial support in the form of accommodation to a limited number of participants. Preference will be given to young participants contributing talks or posters.

Childcare Services: 

Professional childcare will be available at the conference venue. Please complete your registration by Sunday, August 4, if you wish to use this service.
