First announcement

We are happy to share the good news with you: our fourth Biannual Meeting of the Polish Women in Mathematics society will take place in Będlewo, Poland, in November 8-11, 2024. This time the conference will be devoted to Cecylia Krieger-Dunaj and her successors, and some of them will join the conference as plenary speakers.

The conference will take place in the Research and Conference Centre which belongs to the Polish Academy of Sciences. It is located in a beautiful palace in Będlewo, 30km southwest from Poznań. The palace borders on the Greater Poland National Park. An undoubted advantage of the place is the proximity of lakes and forests.

It is our great pleasure to announce that we will have the opportunity to listen to plenary lectures by Izabella Łaba (University of British Columbia) and Peter Pivovarov (University of Missouri, former PhD student of Nicole Tomczak-Jaegerman we wish to honor together with Izabella Łaba).

Our invited speakers will be: Malabika Pramanik (University of British Columbia), Bunyamin Sari (University of North Texas), Jan Rychtar (Virginia Commonwealth University), Anna Lytova (Opole University), Piotr Bartłomiejczyk (Gdańsk University of Technology) and Agnieszka Wyłomańska (Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland).

The purpose of our conferences is to help promote the scientific achievements and merits of women whose research, professional activity and publications have made significant contribution to the development of science, mainly in mathematics and related fields. Of course, we do not limit the conference only to women participants, because we support the principle of gender equality and want to promote equal opportunities and equal treatment of women in mathematical sciences.

We plan to organize a number of special session, so if you want to organize your own session, do not hesitate to contact us.
