Popular in the US, now more and more European Universities offer research internships for undergraduate students. These are great opportunities to dive more into mathematics and spend a great summer.

The offers are very diverse, here we just try to list some opportunities for your convenience. It’s best to talk about such topics with a mentor. You can find a mentor through EWM’s mentoring programme.

Students at a university in the UK or in Ireland are eligible to apply.

 

Oxford Physics Summer Internship

Available for students who do not require a visa to work in the UK.

Philippa Fawcett Internship Programme

Students from anywhere in the world are eligible to apply, it is particularly encouraged for women and non-binary students to apply.

Student Research Mobility Program

Student Research Mobility Program

Students at universities that offer this program have the possibility to do an exchange with another university through a research internship. Multiple subjects, including mathematics, are offered. The universities offering this program are: University of Milan, University of Freiburg, Université de Genève, University of Zurich, Utrecht University, Universiteit Leiden, Lund University and Université Paris-Saclay.
