The Mathematical Institute at the University of Leipzig is seeking to fill a W2-Professor position (tenured associate professorship) in a current field of partial differential equations and related fields. Active collaboration with existing research groups at the Institute of Mathematics, the Institute of theoretical Physics and the Max-Planck-Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences is expected. The successful applicant will be involved in teaching analysis at all levels, in particular in connection with the international master programme on Mathematical Physics.
International visibility, an excellent publication track record, and a high level of commitment to academic teaching are expected. Experience in the acquisition and management of third-party funding is appreciated.
