The Mathematical Institute of the University of Münster, Germany,

Associate Professorship
in the area of geometric non-linear partial differential equations
Salary level W2
The position will start on 1 October 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment is for fi ve years. In exceptional cases the position may be tenured.

The successful candidate will strengthen and broaden our existing
research groups in geometry and applied analysis by pursuing their
own independent research program and engaging with these closely
related groups. The professorship will also be directly connected to and supported by the Humboldt Professorship of Gustav Holzegel.

In addition, a visible contribution to develop and consolidate a strong
branch in geometric partial differential equations within the local M.Sc.
program is expected. The successful candidate will fi nd excellent working conditions in a thriving research atmosphere and fully benefi t from the research infrastructure of Mathematics Münster.

Requirements are a doctoral degree in pure mathematics or a closely
related area, as well as a strong track record in high-level research
including publications in internationally recognized journals
commensurate with the academic age. A strong background in the
analysis of the Einstein equations and/or geometric analysis is highly
desirable. Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level (again commensurate with the academic age) is also highly desirable.
