Professor for Functional Analysis

to begin as soon as possible. The appointment is in accordance with § 98 of the Austrian Universities Act. An evaluation will be conducted after a five-year period.

We are looking for a person with an excellent reputation in research and education for a modern area of functional analysis, such as, for example, nonlinear PDEs, convex analysis, calculus of variations, geometric evolution problems, harmonic analysis, semigroup theory. In addition, a connection to applications in natural sciences, life sciences, and technical sciences is expected.

The successful candidate is expected to represent and further develop the the subject area in research and teaching. Applicants for the position must have a venia docendi (habilitation degree) in the field of Mathematics or a comparable post-doctorate qualification in the academic field.
