We are looking to appoint a permanent Lecturer in Data Assimilation (equivalent to assistant professor) in the Data Assimilation Research Centre (DARC) at the University of Reading. DARC involves 8 academic staff and around 20 research staff and students. DARC has a strong research record in data assimilation theory and applications, collaborating with scientists in operational centres such as the Met Office and ECMWF, as well as with the NERC National Centre for Earth Observation and other academic and industry groups.
