The School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sheffield is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Statistics, to start on 1 August 2021 or soon thereafter. You will be an active researcher within statistics, and should be able to deliver high quality teaching at university level. You will be expected to develop expertise in teaching statistics at undergraduate and masters level and be able to supervise projects at these levels.
The Statistics group has a range of interests, with a strong focus on applied and interdisciplinary research. Current interests include development and application of statistical methods for archaeology, ecology, environmental science, genetic epidemiology, geology and materials science; expert knowledge elicitation; image analysis; time series analysis; uncertainty quantification for complex computer models.
