The Department of Mathematics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam welcomes applications for a fully-funded, 4-year PhD position in in “Data assimilation to predict climate”. In this project you will work on incorporation of data in climate models under the supervision of Svetlana Dubinkina. The project will develop a mathematical framework to improve climate predictions using available data. The preferred starting date is 1 September 2020 or a mutually agreed date thereafter.
