Within the new RTG Rigorous Analysis of Complex Random Systems at the University of Münster there is an opening for PhD positions starting in October 2025.

The central theme of the RTG is the rigorous mathematical understanding of how probabilistic systems, modelled at a microscopic level, behave effectively at a macroscopic scale. In the RTG we investigate models from e.g. statistical mechanics, stochastic homogenisation, machine learning, and random discrete structures.
