We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with a comprehensive background in network science or graph-based machine learning, to work alongside Professor Renaud Lambiotte at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. The position is full time, fixed-term for 9 months, and the post-holder will be supported by a grant from the EPSRC. It is available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will work alongside Professor Lambiotte and co-investigator Professor Xiaowen Dong at the Department of Engineering Science, and collaborate with Dr Luc Rocher at the Oxford Internet Institute, to conduct research as part of an exciting new project to test the feasibility of a graph-based machine learning and network- based approach to predict the emergence of collusion in online markets. They will have the opportunity to write up their results for publication and represent the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics at external meetings/seminars, whilst also managing their own academic research and administrative activities.

Applicants will be expected to have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline. They will possess sufficient specialist knowledge and experience in network science or graph-based machine learning to work within established research programmes. They will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publications, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings, and be able to manage their own academic research and associated activities.
