The Institute for Numerical Simulation at University of Bonn is
looking for a research assistant (Postdoc, 100%, TVL E13) in numerical
analysis for a period of two years. The position is within the group
of Prof. Barbara Verfuerth. A particular focus of the position is the numerical homogenization for temporal metamaterials within a project of the collaborative research center „Wave phenomena“. Moreover, the position also offers the possibility to further develop your own research agenda.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in mathematics and a strong
background in numerical methods for partial differential equations and
numerical analysis as well as programming knowledge. Within the project, you will collaborate with physicists from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

The Institute or Numerical Simulation covers research and teaching of
numerical analysis, simulation and scientific computing. It is part of
Bonn Mathematics and provides a stimulating top-research environment
