Postdoc in Numerical Analysis, University of Bonn
The Institute for Numerical Simulation at University of Bonn is looking for a research assistant (Postdoc, 100%, TVL E13) in numerical analysis for a period of three years. The position is within the group of Prof. Barbara Verfürth. This research group is interested in the design, numerical analysis and implementation of numerical methods, in particular for multiscale problems. The applicant should support the research activities of the chair and their further development and freedom for the further development of the applicant’s own research profile is given. The position comes with no teaching obligations.
You should have a doctoral degree in mathematics and a strong background in numerical methods for partial differential equations and numerical analysis as well as programming knowledge. Bringing in expertise from model reduction, multiscale methods or uncertainty quantification is ideal, but not necessary.
