Postdoctoral Position Grant NCN WEAVE-UNISONO “Classifying Derived Models of the Axiom of Determinacy”
The research group led by professor Grigor Sargsyan at the Institute of Mathematics of Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdansk, Poland is seeking highly qualified candidates for a 6 months postdoctoral position in the NCN WEAVE-UNISONO project entitled Generic large cardinals and determinacy which starts October 1st 2024 and is funded by the National Science Center. The focus of the project is the classification of the derived models. The general area of the project is set theory, and within set theory it lies in the intersection of determinacy theory, forcing techniques, inner model theory and large cardinals.
Qualifications:
A. PhD in mathematics obtained not earlier than seven years before the year of employment (accounting for parental leaves).
B. Expertise and research interests in an area closely related to the project.
C. Good communication skills in English.

5. In case the candidate’s graduation date is later than October 1st, 2024, a letter from the PhD advisor explaining the student’s situation.
