The research group led by professor Piotr Nowak at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland is seeking highly qualified candidates for a 2-year postdoctoral position in the Maestro project entitled Analysis on Groups funded by the National Science Center.

The project focuses on analytic and geometric properties of groups that are of interest in the context of rigidity, group cohomology, noncommutative geometry and index theory, harmonic analysis on groups, expander graphs and high-dimensional expanders.

Requirements:
• PhD in mathematics, obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment,
• (accounting for parental leaves),
• Expertise and research interests in an area closely related to the project,
• Good communication skills in English,
• Programming skills are desirable (Julia, Python, convex optimization and semidefinite, programming).
