Postdoctoral position in pure mathematics on topics related to singularities

The Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry group at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics is looking to fill a 3 year postdoctoral position, with a possibility of extension for 1 year. The candidate’s research interests should connect in the broad sense to the topics pursued within the group: commutative algebra, geometry (algebraic, complex, or symplectic), and topology. In particular, we will also consider applicants who do not directly work in these fields, but have applied their results therein. We also want to see a person who can contribute to the life of our group by collaborating within the group, inviting guests, and organizing seminars and other activities.

The position has no attached teaching duties. The starting dates is flexible. The description of our group can be found at http://www.bcamath.org/en/research/lines/STAG

Applications should be submitted online at the webpage http://www.bcamath.org/en/research/job before February 3, please pay attention to the official call http://www.bcamath.org/documentos_public/archivos/ofertas/IC2022_12_Postdoc_BERCSO_STAGvf.pdf

Skills:
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
A proven track record in Mathematics.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
Fluency in spoken and written English.

In the selection procedure we will appreciate:
