Postdoctoral position in the NCN WEAVE-UNISONO project „Graded Differential Geometry with Applications”
We are looking for highly qualified candidates for a 24-month postdoctoral position in the NCN WEAVE-UNISONO project (joint with GAČR, Czech Republic) “Graded Differential Geometry with Applications”, headed by Prof. Janusz Grabowski, Head of the Department of Mathematical Physics and Differential Geometry at IMPAN.
The project is devoted to a comprehensive study of the geometry of (super)graded manifolds, their various concepts and interrelationships, and their possible applications. There are many open problems in this field, relevant to mathematical analysis, geometry, topology, differential equations, and many areas of physics.
It is expected that the candidate will carry out active scientific research activities in the field of differential geometry and its applications, primarily in the area of the grant topic. Qualifications:
− PhD degree in mathematics or physics awarded no earlier than January 1, 2018,
− knowledge of the basics of differential geometry and research interests related to the project topic,
− good communication skills in English and knowledge of LaTeX.
Terms of employment:
− employment contract with IMPAN for 24 months starting January 1, 2025,
− salary of approximately PLN 9,500 per month (gross).
(Candidate must not receive other remuneration awarded under direct costs from NCN-funded research projects, must not receive remuneration from another employer under an employment contract, including an employer outside Poland, and must not receive pension benefits from the social security system).

3. Two letters of recommendation.
4. Consent to the processing of personal data.
5. If the candidate is expected to receive a doctoral degree later than October 1, 2024, a letter from the supervisor explaining the candidate’s situation.
