The successful candidate will be expected to jointly lead research efforts on the core combinatorial and category theory, and contribute effectively to the work of other team members focusing on computer implementation and applications to quantum theory. They will also be given the opportunity to undertake teaching which will not exceed 3 hours per week for 24 weeks per annum.
Applicants will be expected to have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline, possess expertise in combinatorial models for higher categories and a working knowledge of homotopy theory and quantum algebra together with some programming experience, preferably in javascript and/or node.js.
