The advertisement concerns a postdoctoral position under the supervision of Fabian Hebestreit, with a focus on algebraic or geometric topology and homotopy theory. It is initially for 2 years, with a possible extension to a third. The starting date is supposed to be during our autumn, e.g. September, but is rather flexible. The position is intended for integration into the TRR 358 – “Integral structures in Geometry and Representation theory”, a collaborative research centre at the Universities of Bielefeld and Paderborn, the existence of which makes the department an extremely lively place at the moment, with lots of doctoral students and Post-Docs. The salary is according to the German standard TVL-E13 (which generally equates to something in the area of 2700-2900€ per months after taxes, but this can vary with personal circumstances). It comes with a mild teaching load, but knowledge of German is not mandatory.
