Research Assistant Position (f/m/d)

in the Research Group
“Partial Differential Equations“
(Head: Prof. Dr. A. Mielke) starting as soon as possible.
We are looking for: Applicants with a Ph.D. degree in mathematics (or related fields). The Ph.D. should be completed or very close to completion. The successful candidate will have an interest in applied mathematics, especially applied analysis, and a strong background in at least two of the following areas:
● analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations,
● calculus of variations,
● functional analysis and operator theory,
● mathematical modeling in the sciences.
Interdisciplinary interaction with researchers in the natural sciences and engineering is expected, as well as cooperation in the acquisition of external funding.
