The Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences is seeking experienced mathematicians to join the Department of Abstract Analysis

Applications are invited from candidates working in the areas developed in the department. In particular, we welcome applicants with a strong background in logic, category theory, and their applications in topology, operator algebras, topological dynamics, and related areas.

This is a tenure track type position; after two years, the candidate will be evaluated and, in the positive case, offered a long-term position in accordance with the Career Development Rules of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

Successful applicants are expected to perform research and take part in all other activities of the Department such as organization and active participation at seminars, workshops, and conferences. No teaching is involved.

We require verbal and written English communication skills and abilities to work both independently and collaboratively. The selection committee will evaluate the publication record, as well as other activities and professional achievements of the applicants, with respect to the stage of their career.
