The approximate Bayesian inference (https://team-approx-bayes.github.io/) at RIKEN (https://aip.riken.jp/) has an open position for a female researcher with expertise in Machine Learning and interest in application domains relevant to society.
This is an “indefinite-term” position, which is equivalent to a tenured position, but at the research scientist level.

Our hope is that this position will provide a starting point for the researcher to develop their own research program, who will eventually lead a team of their own in the future (as a professor or team/group leader).

RIKEN is Japan’s largest comprehensive research institution renowned for high-quality research in a diverse range of scientific disciplines. The approximate Bayesian inference team is part of the RIKEN center for Advanced Intelligence Project. The center aims to achieve scientific breakthrough and to contribute to the welfare of society and humanity through developing innovative technologies using machine learning and artificial intelligence.
