Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Applied Analysis

Eindhoven University of Technology is aiming to appoint a

Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Applied Analysis

in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

The Applied Analysis group focuses on the theory and applications of partial differential equations, calculus of variations, optimal transport, gradient flows and their connections with stochastic processes, geometric analysis, and free- and moving boundary problems. For this position we are looking for a mathematician with expertise in one or more of these fields, and an interest in exploring connections of Applied Analysis to current developments in mathematics and beyond. For instance, the group is currently interested in the application of mathematical analysis in quantum mechanics and artificial intelligence, and in the development of computer-assisted proofs.

During the first six months the position is open for women only; if after six months the position has not been filled, also male candidates will be considered.
