Two PhD positions at University of Osnabrueck
The Institute of Mathematics of the University of Osnabrueck invites applications for two PhD positions in probability theory. The topics of the research group include stochastic geometry, random graphs and random complexes, Stein’s method, and stochastic processes. The positions come with some teaching duties (three hours per week during the semester).
The candidates are expected to have a Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field, and a good background in stochastics. Knowledge of German is helpful but not necessary.
The positions (75%, TV-L 13) are for three years. The starting dates
should be between July 1, 2021.
