Two Postdoctoral Research Assistants in Topological Data Analysis
We invite applications for two Postdoctoral Research Assistant positions, to work with Professor Ulrike Tillmann and Dr Heather Harrington at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. These are full-time, 3 year fixed-term positions and are funded by EPSRC.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Centre for Topological Data Analysis and carry out research and assist in organising activities relevant to this group. The successful candidate will provide guidance to junior members of the research group including project students, PhD students, and/or project volunteers. They will also be given the opportunity to undertake teaching which will not exceed 3 hours per week for 24 weeks per annum.
Applicants will be expected to have, or be close to completing, a PhD in topology, data science or a related discipline. Possess sufficient specialist knowledge in algebraic topology, data analysis, statistics or mathematical biology to work within established research programmes of the centre for topological data analysis together with the ability to manage their own academic research and associated activities.
