The successful candidate will be expected to give undergraduate and masters-level lectures, in particular contributing to the new MPhil in Quantitative Climate and Environmental Sciences.
The successful candidate will also take feedback from students and provide career or pastoral advice and perform other usual departmental duties such as those associated with examinations. They will be expected to investigate and lead new areas of research, seek out new funding opportunities and submit grant applications. They will also be required to write papers for publication, attend conferences, network with national/international colleagues and give presentations.
