The Institute of Mathematics and Scientific Computing is looking for a
University assisant with doctorate (m/f/d)
20 hours a week
limited to 9 months
position to be filled as of now

Your duties
Independent research and publication activity in the field of mathematics education (work on own habilitation
desired)
Participation in national and international research projects, beside others in the area of multimodality
(embodiment) and language in mathematical thinking and learning, as well as inclusive mathematics education
Conducting lectures in the Bachelor and Master studies “Lehramt” mathematics
Collaboration in the supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses and dissertations
Involvement in the institute’s administration and the university’s self-government
Collaboration in projects of the educational center “Mathematics and Geometry”
Student support and supervision
Cooperation on organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

Your Profile
Completed doctorate/PhD in the field of mathematics education
Teaching experience at university level; teaching experience at secondary level desirable
Reliability, high level of social and communicative skills
Ability to work independently and autonomously
Organizational skills and ability to work in teams
Experience in research on mathematical giftedness and interest
Experience in task development and related research
High personal motivation to academic excellence
Interest in questions of inclusive mathematics education
