At the University of Graz (Austria), the Institute of Mathematics and Scientific Computing is looking for a
University assistant with doctorate (m/f/d)
40 hours a week fixed-term employment for 1 year position to be filled as of 01.08.2022
Your duties
* Research in the area of ring theory (e.g. factorization theory, ideal theory, module theory)
* Collaboration with the algebra and number theory group
* Participation in ongoing research projects and independent research
* Participation in the teaching of courses for mathematics students and co-supervision of students
Your Profile
* PhD (mathematics/algebra) or a comparable academic degree
* Publications in algebra, in particular ring theory
* Ability for integration into the department’s research profile, in particular links to factorization theory or multiplicative ideal theory
* English level C1
* Didactic aptitude for independent teaching
* Independent and responsible way of working
* Organizational and team skills
