The Institute for Algebra, Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics at Leibniz University Hannover invites applications for a

University Professorship (salary scale W3) in
“Arithmetic and Geometry”.

It is a permanent full-time position starting April 1, 2021 (or later).

The successful applicant will be an internationally established researcher with broad expertise in research and teaching. Possible research areas include arithmetic geometry, number theory and geometric representation theory. Cooperation beyond the boundaries of the institute is expected, particularly for externally funded projects. In addition to their academic qualifications, applicants are expected to possess educational skills and a proven teaching record. Duties also include teaching undergraduate courses for prospective teachers and for students of computer science, engineering and natural sciences.
The successful candidate will be expected to hold selected courses in English.
